Equine Assisted Retreats: Peer to Peer Brainspotting Retreats

This 1-day retreat is specifically designed for Brainspotting practitioners to experience and receive EquiAttune, which integrates the Neuroexperiential Model and Dual Attunement Frame within Equine Assisted Healing sessions. Set in the picturesque mountain retreat town of Idyllwild in Southern California, this retreat aims to bring Brainspotting practitioners together to clear limbic countertransference and foster mutual support and encouragement. No prior equine experience is necessary to participate. This retreat provides an opportunity for Brainspotting practitioners to deepen their healing journey while benefiting from the attuned, regulating presence of equines.

As healers, it is essential for us to address our own challenges and remove anything that may hinder our growth and effectiveness with clients. This retreat offers a supportive environment for Brainspotting practitioners to share and uplift one another. The cost of $400 includes breakfast treats, lunch, refreshments, a yoga class, a group EquiAttune activity (which includes connecting with a body resource spot and engaging in an expansion spot activity), and two Peer to Peer EquiAttune sessions that creatively integrate the Neuroexperiential Model into equine assisted sessions.

Participants of all levels, from complete beginners to seasoned professionals, are welcome as this retreat is designed for anyone interested in practicing and receiving both group and individual EquiAttune healing experiences. Please note that this retreat does not qualify as an equine assisted training and will not certify participants in any equine assisted model; it is purely a healing retreat for Brainspotting practitioners.

Schedule for the day:

7:00am-8:00am – Coffee and tea (optional)

8:00am-9:00am – Morning yoga (optional)

9:00am-10:00am – Breakfast and introductions

10:00am-11:00am – Equine connection activity with a resource spot and an expansion spot

11:00am-1:00pm – Peer to Peer Brainspotting sessions with the equines present (1 hour each)

1:00pm-2:00pm – Lunch

2:00pm-3:00pm – Bladder Meridian exercise

3:00pm-3:15pm – Break

3:15pm-4:45pm – Peer to Peer Brainspotting sessions with the equines present (45 min each)

4:45pm-5:00pm – Debrief and end of day

This Brainspotting practitioners retreat is designed for professionals to experience and receive EquiAttune, integrating the Neuroexperiential Model and Dual Attunement Frame within equine assisted healing sessions, all set in the beautiful mountain retreat town of Idyllwild in Southern California. No prior equine experience is necessary to participate. This retreat aims to help Brainspotting practitioners deepen their own healing journeys while benefiting from the attuned, regulating presence of equines.

As healers, it is essential for us to continuously work on our own issues and release anything that no longer serves us. This retreat offers a supportive environment for Brainspotting practitioners to connect and support one another. Daily meals, including breakfast, lunch, and refreshments, will be provided. Dinners will be on your own, with opportunities to gather as a group at various local restaurants. Participants can expect two group experiential activities and four Peer to Peer Brainspotting sessions, all while engaging with the attuned presence of equines.

Total Cost: $750

Includes breakfast treats, lunch, and refreshments each day, as well as:

- 2 Yoga classes

- 2 group EquiAttune activities (one focusing on connecting with a body resource spot and another on an expansion spot activity)

- 4 Peer to Peer EquiAttune sessions, creatively integrating the Neuroexperiential Model into equine assisted healing sessions.

No equine experience is required to join; this retreat accommodates individuals at all levels, from complete novices to seasoned professionals. Participants will engage in both group and individual EquiAttune experiences. Please note that this retreat does not qualify as equine assisted training and does not certify participants in an equine assisted model. It is intended as a healing retreat specifically for Brainspotting practitioners.

- 9:00am-10:00am – Breakfast and introductions

- 10:00am-11:00am – Equine connection activity with a resource spot (grounded)

- 11:00am-1:00pm – Peer to Peer Brainspotting sessions with the equines present (1 hour each)

- 1:00pm-2:00pm – Lunch

- 2:00pm-3:00pm – Bladder Meridian exercise

- 3:00pm-3:15pm - Break

- 3:15pm-4:45pm - Peer to Peer Brainspotting sessions with the equines present (45 min each)

- 4:45pm-5:00pm - Debrief and end of Day 1

**Day 2 - Saturday**

- 7:30am-8:00am – Coffee and tea (optional)

- 8:00am-9:00am – Yoga

- 9:00am-10:00am – Breakfast

- 10:00am-11:00am – Group expansion spot activity (any resource you wish to expand on) with the equines

- 11:00am-1:00pm – Peer to Peer Brainspotting session with the equines

- 1:00pm-2:00pm – Lunch

- 2:00pm-4:00pm – Peer to Peer Brainspotting session with the equines

- 4:00pm-4:30pm – Debrief and close of retreat
