Specialty Brainspotting Workshops

EquiAttune: Integrating the Neuroexperiential Model with Equine Assisted Healing

EquiAttune is a healing process that synchronizes the nervous system’s natural healing and ability to regulate with the attuned healing presence provided by equines, within the relational and neurobiological frame of Brainspotting. This workshop was developed to assist in providing Brainspotting practitioners a space to creatively practice the Neuroexperiential Model (NEM) and Dual Attunement Frame within equine assisted sessions. We will practice the Uncertainty Principle and staying in the Tail of the Comet through multiple group discussions, experientials, demonstrations, and practicums.  


Course prerequisites for Mental Health Professional (MH)

  • Proof of completion of Brainspotting Phase I training
  • Proof of completion of, or be in the process of, an equine assisted psychotherapy model such as Eagala, PATH, Natural Lifemanship, Gestalt Equine Psychotherapy, OK Corral etc.

Course Prerequisites for Equine Specialist (ES)

  • Must meet the Equine Specialist criteria to hold and maintain Equine Liability Insurance.

Course Requirements

  • Attendance and participation on all workshop days
  • Participation in the workshop practicums each training day

CEU’s

19.5 CEU’s can be purchase for $40.00 through Engaged Minds Continuing Education

Location

Stables at Living Free Sanctuary located at 54250 Keen Camp Rd, Mountain Center, CA 92561

Please arrive early as we will begin the workshop daily at 8:00am, and we will end at 4:00pm.  Please wear layers as it can be chilly in the mornings and with the wind, and warm up in the afternoons. Lunch will be provided.   


Cost

Total cost for the 3 day workshop is 1250.00. 


Price includes facility fees, lunch each day, multiple group experientials, 3 EquiAttune demonstrations, and 3 opportunities to practice and receive EquiAttune sessions. Lodging is not included, however Idyllwild is a beautiful tourist town with many options for lodging and restaurants. 


Spaces are limited to 20 people

Brainspotting Specialty Consultation Group

EquiAttune Specialty Consultation Group


A 6 session online specialty Brainspotting  consultation group that will meet once a month to discuss topics related to creatively incorporating the Neuroexperiential Model and the Dual Attunement Frame into equine assisted psychotherapy and learning sessions (EAS).   


6 month commitment - One 1hr meeting a month. 


Cost ~ $390 (1 time payment for all 6 sessions).

Cara is a LMFT licensed in Ca, Tx, and Fl. She is a Brainspotting Consultant, an EMDRIA Consultant, and Certified in Brainspotting, EMDR, and the Eagala Model of equine assisted psychotherapy. In addition, Cara is Level 1 trained in the Natural Lifemanship model of equine assisted psychotherapy.escription.
